Recaptcha Implemented
The Lockbin website has implemented Recaptcha, effective today. We have had just a few reports of abuse, where someone was apparently sending unsolicited encrypted emails. We don’t understand the point of that, really — why send someone an email that they can’t be read? It just goes to prove that spammers have no brains or sense.
Anyway, Recaptcha should help to discourage...

Decryption Bug resolved
Today, Feb. 8, our engineer fixed a bug that manifest itself after a php update that caused a variable to return the wrong value. The error prevented some messages from decrypting properly. It has been resolved, and messages may now be retrieved with the correct password.

Just a quick note to let you know that we’re still here. Lockbin.com has enjoyed steady growth in 2010. Then number of regular users of the system has increased 10x since the introduction of the Lockbin Desktop application and improvements to the Lockbin web application that included an upgrade to 256-bit AES encryption and file attachments.
